Technically, they’re bullet-resistant — rated NIJ IIIA, which means they can stop most handgun rounds including 9mm, .40, .45, and .357 Magnum. It’s the highest protection available in soft armor.
Yes. The ballistic panel is fully removable. You can replace it, upgrade it later, or take it out entirely if you want to use the bag as a regular backpack.
